The Sacred Heart School Board is an advisory board comprised of nine members. The School Board assists in making policy in accordance with the Green Bay Diocese. The Board is accountable to the parish community through the Sacred Heart Pastoral Council. The School Board interprets, implements, and acquires a working knowledge of policies and creates parish educational policy according to local need. The Board is also responsible for creating support and understanding of Catholic education in our community.
Board members are selected from adult members of the school community and/or parish, with the exception of employees of the parish’s education community and their immediate family members. The pastor must approve all candidates. Members may serve no more than two consecutive three year terms. Qualities and duties of a School Board member include, confidentiality, mutual support, participation, shared decision making and consensus, engage in self evaluation, and spiritual growth as a board member and as an individual.
The School Board meets the third Wednesday of every month at 4:30pm, in the School library. All meetings are open meetings unless designated as executive. The right of non-board members to address the Board is at the discretion of the School Board. All persons attending a board meeting. The next meeting is scheduled for September 18, 2024.
