A Lector proclaims the Old and New Testament readings at Mass.  A Commentator reads announcements for the upcoming weekend Mass and leads the congregation in petitions.  

A ONE hour weekend Mass twice per month rotation is requested in addition to a ONE hour preparation before Mass, plus an initial training with either Father Edward or Deacon Jim Lonick.

Being a lector is a great way to deepen your appreciation of Sacred Scripture, and assist your fellow parishioners at Mass to clearly and prayerfully hear the Word of God.
