Sacred Heart Catholic Parish and School is seeking a full time Parish Music Director and School Music Teacher for 2022-2023 school year. We are looking for an individual to lead and nurture the school’s music program as well as the music programing for the Parish.
A successful candidate will be a dynamic and innovative educator who can create an engaging classroom environment that challenges all students to high levels of learning and achievement. The candidate must also be able to work with adults to develop a choir and help to arrange music for all Masses. This includes half of the time working with the school to manage student music classes, assist with all school Mass once a week, and put on a Christmas and Spring concert. The other half of the position will be managing the music development for the Parish which includes directing an adult choir including weekly rehearsals, planning the music for all weekend and daily Masses, and any other additional programming requests from the Priest. The position will also bring a spiritual and creative energy and lead music in a variety of music and worship styles.
Interested candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in music and be a DPI licensed teacher of music. Should have the ability to play the piano and have vocal proficiency. No experience is necessary.

Sacred Heart Catholic School has an enrollment of 165 students and it is growing. We have recently implemented a departmentalized Middle School Model because of the growth. All candidates must be certified to teach at the Middle School Level and those candidates with emphasis in Social Studies or Science will be given strong consideration.
