What is National Catholic Schools Week?
Since 1974, National Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. This year we celebrated Monday, January 31 to Friday, February 4.
The theme this year was “Catholic Schools: Faith. Excellence. Service.”
Schools observed this week with Masses, open houses and other activities for students, families, parishioners and community members. Through these events, schools focused on the value Catholic education provides to young people and its contributions to our church, our communities and our nation. We got to show our Cardinal Pride!
This year our Catholic Schools Week was filled with faith and fun! We had wonderful daily activities, spirit dress up days organized by our Student Council, a field trip to Navarino Nature Center and terrific gifts that our students receiveed all week long.
