Care Ministry is a one-on-one lay pastoral care giving program that can respond to a wide variety of parish needs. Care ministry provides supportive care to those who are ill, hospitalized, in residential facilities, grieving, isolated or facing other difficult and challenging life situations. We are a people called by God and empowered by the Spirit to continue the work of Jesus. Our mission is to respond through a listening presence to the needs of others as a continuation of Jesus’ ministry of healing.
Care Ministers bring the Good News that nothing can separate us from the love of God through Jesus Christ. A team of parishioners has been trained to carry out these duties.
A ONE 8-hour training to prepare you to carry out this ministry is required, followed up by training for two hours every other month.
If you are interested in our next training session please contact Linda at the Parish Center.
